The way trends are evolving in the clothing industry, every size, shapes, color and form are treated with utmost
creative attention.
Women - young and old, slim and fat, of different races and cultures, are rejoicing because
designs of dresses are no longer confined to stereotypes and conventionalities.
The fat could very well be the “new” slim. It works extra exciting especially for the young chubby girls because they are give more options such
as with their junior plus size tops.
From retail department stores to exclusive fashion boutiques chic selections of tops for the young girls are aplenty.
We are seeing more of designs which are perfectly wearable but with touches of quirkiness fit for the free-spirited
teenagers. Tops, in light fabric materials, are styled like chemise to agree with the young girls’ penchant for
layering.
This is all the rage in teen fashion that is not missing in junior plus size tops section, as well. And it looks
like it can only get better with the entry of new designers the way “Gap” bursts into the clothing scene.
It also helps that the older set are agreeing to the seemingly odd turn happening in teen’s fashion. When before
the slightly overweight young things can do not much but wear her shirt on and yet another loose shirt, today she
can afford to slip into a semi-hugging cotton blend styled to flatter her curves.
We have seen junior plus size tops
designed in the mold of ‘rock chic’ look. So we are also seeing more accessories to complement the look.
Interestingly enough, designers are making the most to highlight the plus-sized teen’s small waistline with tops
cinched on the sides of the waist or attached with chunky buckles to conceal the baby fat in that area.
Shirts also
come in wider and deeper neckline to elongate the silhouette creating a slimmer effect. The length is kept to fall
just on the hipbone, no more, no less. Else, the wearer can always work it out with a fitted jacket or bolero.
When it comes to prints and patterns, there are also new line of junior plus size tops. As a rule, designers are
careful with prints and where patterns come, they come in singe bold stroke, like a piece of chunky print to achieve
the right scale. Apparently, dainty prints do not work for plus-sized tops, ditto with graphic designs that overlap.
