Enter a full-figured lady in a smashing body-hugging outfit. The ogles were soon followed with hush-hush
remarks: “How can she pull such a gorgeous outfit...wow!” That is a compliment, thank you, but it as much as
some form of a censure.
Indeed, a good dress is only good as it gets, until the wearer strips to reveal the
underlying secret to it, a panty that is barely there.
There is a hint of exaggeration to what was earlier said or, more
aptly, assumed.
But not to downplay the expensive outfit, we give credit to plus size bottoms for giving our full-
figured ladies their rockin’, smashin’ moments.
This new line of undies in an extensive lingerie collection is something to die for. In cute bottoms, svelte and
stocky models alike are breathing an attitude of sexiness that is infectious as it is inviting. Marketing ploy, yes, but
you have to give it to the many plus-sized women who are rejoicing in their curves.
Thanks to the sensitivity and
ingenuity of lingerie designers for coming up with plus size bottoms which are giving a whole lot of meaning to
buxom dressing.
To a greater extent, some would call it as another take on the so-called ‘celebration of femininity’. Instead of our
plus-sized ladies left being self-conscious about their round form, they choose to own it and celebrate it as an
expression of femininity, individuality.
We have heard of fashion mishaps involving chubby girls turning up in a formal party in really “bad shape” such as
one having a wobbly chest or a panty too visible it’s unsightly even from the other side of the ballroom. Alas, it is
not the fault of the dramatic figure-hugging number.
The blame lies solely in the wearer herself for poor choice of
a plus size bottom to go with her nice dress. At the end of the day it comes to this one important lesson: When you intend or are obligated to attend an affair and
a figure-hugging number is a requisite to be noticed, it is best that you are prepared every inch of the way, attitude-
wise and appearance-wise, in and out, from top to bottom.
True enough, the right choice of plus size bottoms can
be a saving grace. You may not stand out in a crowd of wannabes and stunners, but at least you do not fall in the
trap, a plus-size trap, of humiliation. The best thing that you can do is ‘be good to yourself’. |
